Michael Gove MP welcomes fairer funding for local schools in Surrey Heath

Today the Government has announced that schools in some of the least fairly funded local areas in the country will benefit from a £390 million cash boost in the biggest step towards fairer schools funding in a decade. The schools budget in Surrey will increase by £28.4 million making a real difference to children in Surrey Heath.

Michael Gove MP has invited individuals, families and communities from across the United Kingdom to bring stones and help to build a great cairn, as a striking and lasting symbol of their commitment to Scotland as part of the United Kingdom. The project is being launched on Sunday July 20th along the Scottish Border, and will continue every day for the following eight weeks, in the lead up to the Scottish referendum on September 18th.

New quiet tarmac for M3 Junctions 2-4a

Michael Gove, MP for Surrey Heath, recently met Windlesham Parish Councillor, Conrad Sturt, Graham Bullen of the Windlesham Society and Robert Goodwill, Minister of State for Transport, to discuss the widening of the M3 between junctions 2-4a. Mr Goodwill was delighted to report that all eight lanes of the M3 through Surrey Heath will now receive quiet-surface treatment during the smart motorway works.
