Michael Gove visits Ascot Ales

On 30 January Michael had the opportunity to visit Ascot Ales, an award winning brewery in Camberley which brews six signature beers including: Alley Cat Ale; Alligator Ale; Anastasia’s Exile Stout; On The Rails; Penguin Porter and Posh Pooch.

The brewery has good relations with local pubs and expanded its stock into The White Hart at Winfield.

Winning over 20 awards for its selection of ales, a notable highlight is the Anastasia’s Exile Stout winning Gold Stout and Porter CAMRA at the Reading Beer Festival 2008.

Every month, the brewery releases a new brew of single hops. Flavours range from New Zealand citrus hops to UK Hedgerow Hops with a spiced apple flavour.

Ascot Ales also keeps a high profile in the local area, attending multiple events such as the Surrey Heath Show whilst also competing in international beer competitions and festivals.
